These terms cover your use of this website and orders placed through it. Engineering work that we quote separately is covered by the written quote or engagement for that job.

What this website is

BeachCheck is a first look at a property from public records. It is not a certificate, a planning or flood level determination, or a guarantee of any approval. Information is dated and may be incomplete or change. Check the source before relying on it.

Engineering work

Full-service and engineer-assisted work is scoped and priced for the job. A form submission is a request, not a contract. A contract exists when we confirm the engagement in writing and, where required, receive the deposit or payment. Any report we issue is limited to its stated scope and the information supplied to us.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars. Payments are taken by Stripe. Deposits and fees are described on the quote or order.

Your responsibilities

Give us accurate information and documents, and only upload material you have the right to share. Do not misuse the site, attempt to access other people's accounts, or interfere with its operation.

Consumer law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. See also the refunds and cancellations page.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything other than the consumer guarantees is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of doing so. TO CONFIRM: final limitation wording, to be settled by legal review.

Intellectual property

Content on this site and documents we issue remain ours or our licensors'. You may use issued documents for the purpose they were issued for.

Governing law

New South Wales law applies, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
